Starting June 13, the San Francisco Film Society will take over one of the screens at the Kabuki for showing “programming similar to that of the…San Francisco International Film Festival. Films shown on the Film Society Screen will be primarily international, independent and documentary feature films with limited U.S. distribution.â€
Expect primarily week-long engagements–at least initially. Eventually, according to Executive Director Graham Leggat, they may try something “more complicated.†They may also try retrospective screenings, although the lack of changeover projection at the Kabuki may make this difficult.
