I’m starting up Bayflicks again–just in time for the San Francisco International Film Festival.
Not only that, but I’m bringing back the calendar–although in a much less ambitious form. Based now on Google Calendar, the new Bayflicks Calendar displays just the items I think are worth bringing to your attention. In other words, it’s an alternative form of the mailing list.
In one sense, however, this is a lousy time to get started again. My Internet host, IX Hosting, recently moved to new servers. Email and HTML pages download fine, but the SQL Server, which contains almost everything is Bayflicks., is moving slower that an early Warhol picture at 8 frames per second. The techies, hopefully, will fix it soon.
Enough about the site. I went to the SFIFF press conference this morning, and I’ll write that up as soon as I can.

we’ve added a calendar feature, much like your old one, to the film on film foundation site. might be worth a mention in the blog?
