Award-winning journalist and humorist Lincoln Spector writes about entertainment, culture, and technology. His humor column, Gigglebytes, debuted in Northern California Computer Currents in 1986. That magazine has gone the way of all good things, but the column, which has appeared in at least seven publications and web sites over the years, still makes readers laugh on two continents. It currently appears in print in Ireland’s Sunday Business Post and online on a subscription basis at Byte.com.
Lincoln’s advice column, Answer Line, appears in PC World, a magazine with which Lincoln has been associated since 1989. His articles have also appeared in Consumer Digest, Small Business Computing, Home Office Computing, Oakland City Magazine, Business 2.0, and InfoWorld. You can find links to his writing at another web site, thelinkinspector.com.
A passionate cinephile, Lincoln maintains yet another Web site, bayflicks.net, devoted to film festivals and specialty cinemas in his chosen home, the San Francisco Bay Area.
Lincoln Spector is the author’s real name, appearing on his birth certificate and driver’s license. He lives in Albany, California with his wife and two daughters. He has a grown son from a previous marriage.
